Studio Mao has a long and proud tradition of giving back to communities along with being committed to global social responsibility and the support of a diversified approach to business. From supporting education and the arts for children, delivering services to patients with a terminal illness and promoting global citizenship Studio Mao gives back every day. Partnerships with leading charities like amfAR, The Rainforest Foundation, Free Arts New York City, and Maitre have assisted in delivering critical funding through donations and awareness for the past decade.
DAN COLEN FREE ARTS DAY
Artist Dan Colen gave 100 children from the Department of Homeless Services and 100 volunteer mentors the opportunity to spent the day in Greenwich, Connecticut with a private viewing of his exhibit Help! Kids and volunteers painted rocks to look like M&M’s, created group flower murals, and made model magic canvases inspired by Dan’s gum paintings
Studio Mao has donated original artwork from its collections for auction at the annual fundraisers and continues to be an ardent supporter.

amfAR 2015 GALA
Studio Mao is a supporter and believer in the quest of amfAR to cure AIDS. Harry Belafonte, Rosario Dawson and Patrick Demarchelier were honored at the sold-out black-tie amfAR New York Gala at Cipriani Wall Street, February 11. Awards were presented by Whoopi Goldberg, Chris Rock and Anna Wintour, respectively.
The gala kicked off New York Fashion Week and was attended by Kenneth Cole amfAR’s Chairman of the Board. The event featured a high-octane performance by legendary British singer Dame Shirley Bassey raising more than $2 million.

RAINFOREST FOUNDATION
Founded by Sting and his wife Trudie Styler the Rainforest Foundation promotes conservation in Central and South America. It is one of the first international organizations to support the indigenous peoples of the world’s rainforests in their efforts to protect their environment and fulfill their rights to land, life and livelihood.
At Studio Mao preserving the planet for future generations to come is more than a message. It is vital not only to raise awareness but also to act and provide an avenue for funds to reach the geographic areas most in need.
